We did it!!!!

Yeah. Rod and I have been married for 20 years now. What an accomplishment. With all that we have been through, I have to say we are happier now than we have been ever. I'm looking forward to the next 20 years. As Rod wrote in my anniversary card, "The best is yet to come."

Happy, Happy New Year!!!

I made it. It's the first time in many years that I've made it past midnight on new years. Amazing!!!! I actually was up past 2am playing games with Alyssa and Jared. We played Scattergories and laughed our heads off. What a crack up that game is to play. We had a lot of fun. At midnight, the area around us went crazy with fireworks. And, I'm not talking about little cheapy fireworks, they were the "Disneyland" kind going off all over. It was awesome. Perfect view out Alyssa's window upstairs. If they do this much on New Years, I can just imagine what they do for 4th of July.
Anyway, I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous 2009. Lord knows, we ALL need it. I hope and pray that everyone is very successful in everything they do.
God Bless!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

To all who read this..............I hope you had a wonderful Merry Christmas and a will have a very prosperous and happy 2009. You ALL deserve it.

Time to "Create"

Over the long Christmas Holiday, I was able to get in some time to get creative. I bought some wood letters and decorated them with background and texture paper. It was very easy and fun. I have some paper that is similar to the "Shabby Chic" look and decided this would be perfect. I've hung these letters in my craft room on the wall to inspire me to be creative.

Take a look at the picture I've attached and tell me what you think. The picture shows up pretty small on the post, but if you click on it, it fills the screen and you are able to get a better look at the letters.

Snow, Snow and more Snow

Hey all. It's been snowing here. Not as much as where my mom and sister are in Arizona, but enough for me. I've been away from snow now for about 14+ years. The dogs love the snow. I can't seem to keep them out of it. There like two little boys, constantly pestering me to go play in the snow. Bear with is short little legs and long fur, he comes back in with hair just covered with snow. I'm getting used to driving in it. What a joy that is. I definitely need to get some sand bags or something to put in the back of my van to help weight it down for traction. I've attached some pics so you can see the house with its Christmas lights and the snow plus some of the dogs playing in it.

It's been WAY too long

Hello. It's been way too long since I've added anything to this blog. So.... for a quick update, all is well here. It's been absolutely BEAUTIFUL with all of the fall colors in the trees. I've been told I'm getting quite a treat to be having such an awesome fall. It is breathtaking to drive around and look at all the reds, browns, yellow and greens in the trees. Sometimes it just takes my breath away. I am however not very happy with myself, I would have liked to have gotten some pictures when everything was at its peak in color, but I never had my camera with me when I came across a beautiful landscape of colors. As a side note..... I went through all my copic markers and made the tags shown below with the different levels of color. It wasn't as easy as it appears to be. You definitely have to use paper that won't bleed. I tried using the CTMH paper and it didn't work, so I had to find paper especially made for Copic markers. Thankfully Alyssa had some.

Markers - Great Idea

I was perusing the blogs and checking my email this morning and I had received an email from one of my favorite stamp websites.... Purple Onion Designs. I checked out their blog and saw this great idea for making color swatches for all of your markers. Her example was done with Copic Markers, but you could do it with I think, any markers. She first used a tag punch, then took each one of her makers and three lines of colors. The first line is one layer of color, the second line is two layers and the third line is three layers which allows you to be able to see the shades of the colors. She also wrote the name of the marker along with any number that is associated with that color. Once she was done, she hung all of these tags on a book ring. This allows you to be able to find that exact color you need to go with the cardstock and B&T paper. It will take some work, but this is exactly what I'm going to do.

PRICELESS........

1 Box of Kleenex - $ 1.29
1 Adorable Dog - $ 350.00
Putting these two together........PRICELESS
I just couldn't resist this. I went looking for our dog "Bear" today. He's like a little kid. You've got to know where he is at, at all times. Well today when I found him, I definitely laughed at this one. I mean..... really laughed. I found him downstairs with this on his head. He was moving back and forth like Ray Charles. I just couldn't resist..... Had to take a picture of this........ It was the perfect "candid" moment.

Those Wonderful Acrylic Albums

Just recently my friend came to visit and while she was here, we were able to sit and make this awesome acrylic album. All the product we used is from CTMH. We used the new xmas card kit and we still had enough left over to make 1 of each of the 4 different cards from the kit. This was so fun to make and what a treat it was to sit and play. This would make a great gift for someone. They just have to attach the pictures.
