I am inspired.......

I've recently heard a new song by Cher called "You've haven't seen the last of me" that just absolutely inspires me.  I heard it the 1st time in the Burlesque movie which I just recently watched for the very first time.  I know, I know I'm slow on the uptake and yes this movie has been out for awhile and I'm just watching it now.  Anyway......  It reminds me of my cancer battle. It's all about not being broken and always rising above the crisis' in spite of everything.  Hubby watched the movie with me and liked it very much and before I could say anything about the song, he pointed it out to me and said it reminded him of me and my cancer battle too.  Below are the lyrics to it and further down my blog is music that plays while you are my page.  It also has the song listed which you can click on to hear it for yourself.  I LOVE IT !!  I hope you like it too.  Enjoy !!!

Cher – You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me
Feeling broken
Barely holding on
But there’s just something so strong
Somewhere inside me
And I am down but I’ll get up again
Don’t count me out just yet
I’ve been brought down to my knees
And I’ve been pushed way past the point
 of breaking
But I can take it
I’ll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven’t seen the last of me
You haven’t seen the last of me
They can say that
I won’t stay around
But I’m gonna stand my ground
You’re not gonna stop me
You don’t know me
You don’t know who I am
Don’t count me out so fast
I’ve been brought down to my knees
And I’ve been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I’ll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven’t seen the last of me
There will be no fade out
This is not the end
I’m down now
But i’ll be standing tall again
Times are hard but
I was built tough
I’m gonna show you all what I’m made of
I’ve been brought down to my knees
And I’ve been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I’ll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
I am far from over
You haven’t seen the last of me
No no
I’m not going nowhere
I’m staying right here
Oh no
You won’t see me begging
I’m not taking my bow
Can’t stop me
It’s not the end
You haven’t seen the last of me
Oh no
You haven’t seen the last of me
You haven’t seen the last of me

Craft Room

Here are some pictures of my craft room.  I've got the big room now.  Yeah !!!  I have done a few more things since I took these, but not much.

This is the wall to the right when you walk in.  It has all my buttons in the jars and paper in the white stackable.

This is the wall all the way to the left when you walk into the room.  Don't you just love all this color?  I do.  It's great to be able to see all the ribbon I have.  More paper above in the racks.

The wall straight ahead when you walk in.  My craft desk, DVD's and pen holders.   Plus my big screen with cable and Blue-Ray Player.  AWESOME !!!  Hubby thinks I will never leave this room.

This is the back wall.  It has CTMH paper and all my embellishments, separated by color in the plastic containers on the shelves.  Plus my cricut and flowers.  Love it !!!

This is taken from standing in the door way.  You can see my work table, facing the TV of course.  Also the 3 tiered wire basket to the left of the TV that has a bunch of my punches in it.

Things to come......

Since I'm no longer working now, I've been really working on my craft room.  Getting it organized and gone through.  I've gotten rid of some things that I know I won't use.  I know, I know some of you are thinking, OMG she got rid of stuff?  Yes, I did.  It's nice to know what I have, therefore know what I want to work on.

The room I have to say is looking really nice.  It's colorful and visual.  Which for me, it has to be.  I'll post pictures once I'm done.  I've got a few more things I need to take care of.

It's been way too long

I need to get on this more. I'm totally slacking. However, since my last post, I've been EXTREMELY busy. We've had family visiting, Alyssa and I have been to California for my Nephew's wedding. We were also able to visit some friends while we were there, but not nearly as many as I would have liked.
I've got some cards to post, that I made from the Close to My Heart "Tickled Pink" set. I'll post those soon.
I'm glad to say my nephew Brian (the one that just got married) and his new beautiful wife Brittney are moving here to Forks, Washington. I am so excited. I will have some of my family here. Grant it, they will be about 4 hours away, but it's a heck of a lot closer than California and Arizona where the rest of the family's at. So, I'm grateful I will have them that close.
Also while we were in California, I got so spend some time with my great niece Allie. She is so cute and what a personality she has on her. I've missed her. When I left Calfornia, she was only 2 mos old. She has grown a TON since we left. What a little Doll Baby she is. Soon she will have a baby sister who I'm sure will be just as cute.
Oh, and we've also been at Rod's mom (Ma) and wayne's (Pa) helping put in a garden. It is doing fabulous. We have potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, peas, beets, green onions, rutabaga, lettuce, zuchini, squash, cantaloupe, plus a bunch more I can't even think of. I am frequently told there are many weeds there with my name on them that need to be pulled. I guess I need to put on those garden boots and gloves and go pull weeds.
I'm also taking a watercolor class on Monday nights. I'm really liking that. It's a lot of fun. The paintings so far have turned out pretty good. I've posted one of them below. I'm actually surprised at some of them. I didn't know I could do that.
We also have a new kitten. Well he's not so new now. His name is Scout and he is a handful. When he was little he was a total snuggler and loves to have his belly rubbed. Not many cats I know will let you rub there bellies. He also loved to sleep on you, but now he's Mr. Independent. He definitely knows Alyssa is his Mommy. She can pretty much dress him in baby clothes and he'll let her do it. Here's a picture of him......
I've made this post especially long since its been FOREVER since I've been on here. I hope all is doing well. Take care.

We did it!!!!

Yeah. Rod and I have been married for 20 years now. What an accomplishment. With all that we have been through, I have to say we are happier now than we have been ever. I'm looking forward to the next 20 years. As Rod wrote in my anniversary card, "The best is yet to come."

Happy, Happy New Year!!!

I made it. It's the first time in many years that I've made it past midnight on new years. Amazing!!!! I actually was up past 2am playing games with Alyssa and Jared. We played Scattergories and laughed our heads off. What a crack up that game is to play. We had a lot of fun. At midnight, the area around us went crazy with fireworks. And, I'm not talking about little cheapy fireworks, they were the "Disneyland" kind going off all over. It was awesome. Perfect view out Alyssa's window upstairs. If they do this much on New Years, I can just imagine what they do for 4th of July.
Anyway, I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous 2009. Lord knows, we ALL need it. I hope and pray that everyone is very successful in everything they do.
God Bless!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

To all who read this..............I hope you had a wonderful Merry Christmas and a will have a very prosperous and happy 2009. You ALL deserve it.

Time to "Create"

Over the long Christmas Holiday, I was able to get in some time to get creative. I bought some wood letters and decorated them with background and texture paper. It was very easy and fun. I have some paper that is similar to the "Shabby Chic" look and decided this would be perfect. I've hung these letters in my craft room on the wall to inspire me to be creative.

Take a look at the picture I've attached and tell me what you think. The picture shows up pretty small on the post, but if you click on it, it fills the screen and you are able to get a better look at the letters.

Snow, Snow and more Snow

Hey all. It's been snowing here. Not as much as where my mom and sister are in Arizona, but enough for me. I've been away from snow now for about 14+ years. The dogs love the snow. I can't seem to keep them out of it. There like two little boys, constantly pestering me to go play in the snow. Bear with is short little legs and long fur, he comes back in with hair just covered with snow. I'm getting used to driving in it. What a joy that is. I definitely need to get some sand bags or something to put in the back of my van to help weight it down for traction. I've attached some pics so you can see the house with its Christmas lights and the snow plus some of the dogs playing in it.
